Oslo is a very expensive city, and unless you are shopping during sales it is unlikely that you will get much of a bargain on most items. Because of this tourists are recommended to book the room as far in advance as possible in order to ensure that they have a place to stay. It is also worth remembering that Oslo is a very expensive city therefore unless you are willing to camp or stay in a hostel be prepared to spend top dollar for a nice room. The same high prices also translate to the majority of Oslo restaurants. Tourist should expect to pay a lot of money for fine dining, and even a hefty amount for normal dining. Similarly pubs and nightclubs are also relatively expensive.
