Viegelandsparken

Vigelandsparken is the biggest attraction in Oslo. Here more than 200 statues in bronze and stone, all by Gustav Vigeland, is shown. It is open all year and has free entrance.

Vigeland, a man of great vision was, after long struggles, given free hands in the park Frognerparken. He reshaped large parts of it, and placed his "Monolitten" at the top. At 17 m this gigantic sculpture of carved granite dominates the park.
