Public transportation is excellent in Oslo.  The trams, buses and trains are all managed by a single agency, and so there is only one ticketing system to understand.  These tickets are sold via vending machines near department stores, aside from the main station.  Taxi ranks are also available in the city center.

For those who prefer to drive around Oslo, there are kiosks at the airport operated by major car rental companies such as Hertz, Avis and Budget.  These car rental companies also have offices in the downtown area.
